The first M Performance version of the new BMW X5 G65 features a plug-in hybrid inline-six with more muscle than the old V8-powered model M60i. Sadly, it's not coming to the United States.
Exclusively made in Dingolfing, the 2027 BMW 7 Series entered production earlier today. All gasoline, diesel, plug-in hybrid, and electric versions are built on the same assembly line.
BMW Germany has the 2027 X5 configurator up and running, with prices starting at €95,750 for the X5 40d xDrive. Other than the diesel, only the 40 xDrive can be ordered. The plug-in hybrids and iX5 will follow.
The new G65 BMW X5 and 2027 Audi Q7 arrive together, but only one looks like a real next-generation SUV.
